Which Surgery is Right for You?
Goals of Treatment for Obesity Related Diseases
In addition to Percent Excess Weight Loss (%EWL), Dr. Srikanth is driven to move his patients from "heavy to healthy". There are five metrics Dr. Srikanth uses as goals for the treatment of obesity with bariatric surgery. Dr. Srikanth refers to these as a "Healthy High Five". Weight loss surgery has a better track record of reaching these goals concurrently than standard medical therapy for morbidly obese patients.
