Modern healthcare advancements introduce convenience, enabling patients to connect with specialists from the comfort of their own homes. The Center for Weight Loss Surgery proudly offers telehealth options for patients nationwide. We are committed to helping patients access trusted weight loss surgery care from communities outside of Washington.
Your Path to Bariatric Surgery From Home
The journey to bariatric surgery can start and end virtually through telehealth services. During these bariatric surgery telehealth evaluations, patients will meet one-on-one with a provider via a video call. The Center for Weight Loss Surgery can perform consultations, pre-surgery counseling and post-surgery follow-ups using this program, saving patients from frequent travel.
Your First Virtual Bariatric Surgeon Consultation
Weight loss surgery telehealth consultations are the first step in the journey. In this initial meeting, a provider will listen to a patient’s story, discuss their goals and determine if they are a candidate for their chosen bariatric surgery. Patients will also have the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns with the provider.
Your initial consultation will be with either Dr. Myur Srikanth or Karli Berry, ARNP. The Center for Weight Loss Surgery offers various types of weight loss surgeries, such as a duodenal switch, gastric bypass and gastric sleeve, which are all eligible for a telehealth consultation.
Online Pre-Op Bariatric Counseling and Education
Prior to weight loss surgery, patients can have some of their initial information meetings online. One of which is virtual nutrition counseling for bariatric patients. Patients will need to follow a strict diet following the surgery, and a nutritionist will walk them through what to expect.
If you need additional testing, we can work out a plan for you to have it done near you or visit us. This hybrid pathway will depend on your location and accessibility to the required tests.
Post-Op Bariatric Telehealth Follow-Up
Following bariatric surgery, patients recovering at home will meet with one of our providers for a follow-up. We use telehealth for post-operative care and support, checking in regularly to monitor progress and address any concerns.
The Center for Weight Loss Surgery is passionate about providing support from the beginning of the bariatric surgery process through recovery and beyond.
