"23 years ago, I underwent weight loss surgery with high hopes for a healthier, more fulfilling life. In the beginning, I had success. I lost a significant amount of weight and felt better physically. However, over time, I struggled to maintain the weight loss and started regaining some of the weight I had worked so hard to lose. Despite sticking to my diet and exercise routine, I started to regain the weight I lost. I heard of others going in for revision surgery and after researching and going for a consultation with Dr. Srikanth I learned that I was a candidate for revision surgery. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew that I had to try something different to get my health back on track. The revision surgery was a more complex procedure, but it gave me renewed hope.
The process was challenging, but I found strength in the support of my medical team, and my family. The revision surgery has completely transformed my journey. Since then, I’ve experienced steady weight loss, and I’ve regained control of my health. My energy levels have skyrocketed, and many of the health issues I once dealt with, like high blood pressure and joint pain, sleep apnea, have improved significantly.
Looking back, I realize that weight loss surgery, whether initial or revision, is not a quick fix. It's a tool that requires dedication, but when you have the right mindset, the right support, and the right care, it can lead to long-term success. I’m grateful for the second chance that Dr. Srikanth and his team have given me, and I’m finally able to live the healthy life I’ve always wanted."
